Frequently asked questions

  • Is Clinical Pilates covered by my physiotherapy benefits?

Yes. When Clinical Pilates is assessed and delivered one-to-one by a registered physiotherapist — which is how we do it — it is billed as physiotherapy. Most extended health plans cover it at 95–100%.

  • Do I need a doctor's referral?

No. You can book directly with us. Some insurance plans ask for a referral for reimbursement, so it's worth checking your specific plan.

  • How soon can I get in?

Most new patients are seen within 24 hours. We're open until 8pm Monday to Friday and on Saturdays.

  • What's the difference between Clinical Pilates and a regular Pilates class?

Clinical Pilates is physiotherapy delivered on Pilates equipment. You're assessed first, the programme is prescribed for your body and your injury, and a physiotherapist supervises every session one-to-one. A studio class is group fitness — no assessment, no clinical oversight, and not claimable on health benefits.

  • Are all your practitioners women?

Every physiotherapist at Joybody is a woman with training in women's health. Assessments are available in English, Punjabi and Hindi.

  • What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing you can move in, and grippy socks for the Pilates equipment. We have socks if you forget.
