We built the clinic we wanted to walk into.

joy body = knowing your body + mobility − pain

Why Joybody exists

Women spend a quarter of their lives in worse health than men, and the system hasn't caught up. Traditional physiotherapy clinics are covered by insurance but were designed decades ago, for someone else. Boutique studios are beautiful but cost you a fortune and come with no clinical guidance at all.

We kept meeting women who'd been told their pain was normal. Women who came in after a C-section with no idea how to rehab their core. New mothers asking why nobody had explained pelvic floor care to them. People living with pain they'd normalised because the system taught them to.

What they wanted wasn't complicated: longer appointments, movement-based treatment, and a space that took their health seriously. So we built that — and made sure insurance covered it, because access shouldn't depend on income.

The space

A sanctuary, not a healthcare facility.

Bright, quiet, and deliberately unclinical. No waiting room full of people avoiding eye contact — just a space where people can come and feel welcome.

The six-star promise

The standard we hold ourselves to, written the way we want patients to describe us.

  • “I feel seen and heard”

Every patient leaves feeling deeply seen, heard and cared for — not just treated.

  • “I trust I'm in the best hands”

Every patient feels confident and safe with every single person here.

  • “This feels different”

The clinic feels like a sanctuary, not a healthcare facility.

  • “They thought of everything”

The small things you didn't expect anyone to bother with.

  • “I'm supported every step of the way”

Nobody gets lost in the process.

  • “It just flows”

    Effortless, consistent, and deeply professional.

What we believe

  • A welcoming space

Somewhere anyone can come and reconnect with their body without feeling judged or rushed.

  • Knowledge and education

You should leave understanding what's happening in your body. Being handed exercises without explanation isn't care.

  • Movement

Movement is the golden key to a joyful body. Access to it is liberation.

  • Community

From the JoyRide Run Club to the people you'll recognise in the studio — this is a place, not just a service.

Out in the community

We show up where people are.

Street festivals, run clubs, community events — we bring a reformer and a physiotherapist and we treat whoever wants to be treated. It is the most honest marketing we know how to do.
