This is the one service we offer that is not physiotherapy and is not covered by insurance. If you have an injury, pain, or a condition you want assessed, book Clinical Pilates instead — it's led by a physiotherapist and your benefits will usually cover it.

Private Pilates is for movement's sake: you want to get stronger, move better, and have someone knowledgeable watching your form — without needing a clinical assessment.

It's also where many people go after finishing a course of Clinical Pilates, to keep what they built.

Is this you?

  • You've finished physiotherapy and want to keep the strength you built
  • You want to learn Pilates properly, one-to-one, before joining any class
  • You don't have an injury — you just want to move well
  • You'd like to come with a partner or friend who isn't a patient

Frequently asked questions

  • Is this covered by my benefits?

No. Private Pilates is not physiotherapy, so it can't be claimed. If you want a session that is covered, book Clinical Pilates — it's delivered by a registered physiotherapist.

  • What's the difference from Clinical Pilates?

Clinical Pilates includes a physiotherapy assessment and is treatment for a specific problem. Private Pilates is instruction — excellent movement coaching, but not clinical care and not claimable.

  • Can I book if I have an injury?

If something hurts, book Clinical Pilates instead so a physiotherapist can assess it properly first. We'd rather point you to the right service than take the booking.

  • What should I bring?

    Comfortable clothing and grippy socks.
